To extract the source from the .tbg file, do the following from any
debian or ubuntu shell:

gpg -d packagename-current.tbg | tar xvj

or if you prefer,

gpg -o packagename-current.tar.bz2 -d packagename-current.tbg &&
  tar xfvj packagename-current.tar.bz2

Make sure you get a valid signature message from gpg.
